Welcome!

I am a licensed amateur radio operator (ham radio) based in Williamsburg, Kentucky, becoming newly licensed around the beginning of 2026.

During my early teen years (1960's / 1970's) one of my favorite hobbies was C.B. (Citizen Band) radio’s. A few years ago, I got the desire to get back into the hobby and on December 28th, 2025, I pursued an amateur radio operators license, passing the Technician (entry level), followed by the General (mid-level) test a week or so later Jan 9, 2026.  I will soon pursue the Amateur Extra (highest level).

My main base radio is a Yaesu FTdx101MP with many peripherals, I still admire vintage equipment of my youth years, I have a collection of working D-104’s and am eager to attend a ham fest. I am looking forward to all the new opportunities in the amateur radio world and meeting a lot of the many operators around the world.

	The ARRL W.A.S. (Worked All States) Award - The American Relay League has confirmed two-way contact with Amateur Radio stations in all 50 states of the United States of America.
	Grid Square Award - Has successfully completed two-way communications with amateur radio stations located in at least one hundred unique Maidenhead squares.
	QRZ/30 - Having completed thirty on-air contacts with fellow QRZ members around the world.
	World Radio Friendship - Has successfully completed on-air contacts with at least twenty-five members of QRZ from around the world.
	World Continents Award - Has successfully completed two-way communications with amateur stations in each of the six continental zones of the world.
	United States Counties Award  –  Has successfully completed two-way communications with amateur radio stations in 100 United States Counties as described: 20 Meter SSB, 40 Meter CW, 5-Band Digital.
	United States Award  –  Has successfully completed two-way communications with amateur stations in each of the fifty states of the United States of America.
	DX World Award  –  Has successfully completed two-way communications with amateur rradio stations in at least 100 different countries throughout the world.
	Master of North America Award - Has accumulated the required credits and has thereby demonstrated a mastery of communications skills arising from successful two-way contacts with stations located uniquely within the region of North America.
	Master of Europe Award - Has accumulated the required credits and has thereby demonstrated a mastery of communications skills arising from successful two-way contacts with stations located uniquely within the region of European Region.
	Master of South America Award - Has accumulated the required credits and has thereby demonstrated a mastery of communications skills arising from successful two-way contacts with stations located uniquely within the region of South Ameroca Region.
